Yes. Nestle Pure Life Water does contain minerals. 

The problem is - they’re not good for your body. To break it down:

Minerals are electrolytes. They are negatively charged and provide antioxidants needed to push out the toxins from the cell. To find out if minerals in Nestle Pure Life Water are negatively charged we're gonna use a device called ORP meter (Oxidation-reduction potential).

Higher readings indicate that the water is creating oxidation and by that causing inflammation in your body. 

So, let’s put the Nestle Pure Life Water to the test and see what will we come up with.

As you can see, the results are in the +190's area which means that Nestle Pure Life Water is creating oxidation.

But how’s that possible if we know that there are minerals in it? And we know that the minerals act as electrolytes which means that the value on the ORP meter should be in negative. 

The answer to that question lies in the process called Reverse Osmosis.

Reverse Osmosis

Reverse Osmosis is a process of water purification by pushing the water through a semi-permeable membrane to remove unwanted molecules and larger particles. Unfortunately, reverse osmosis is not a selective filtration process that removes only the bad stuff. It also removes the minerals that are good for your body. 

So the companies like Nestle re-install the minerals after the reverse osmosis purification. The problem is that these minerals are inorganic and our body does not how to take them in, which causes health issues.

The minerals added to this bottled water are:

• Calcium chloride (salt used to de-ice the roads),
• Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda),
• Magnesium Sulfate (Dead Sea salt).

But to be fair we're going to do give one more shot to Nestle Pure Life Water minerals to redeem themselves. Our next test will show us if the inorganic minerals can stop the oxidation.

pH Test

If we put a couple of pH drops in the water, it instantly changes color to green which doesn't seem not too bad if you’re looking at the pH chart. The chemicals that are in here are added to maintain the balance of the water. 

But watch what happens if we remove those chemicals from the water by simply blowing air (carbon dioxide) into it. 

I just used carbon dioxide to break up electrolytes and show the real pH value of this water. If there was minerals in this water it would neutralize the oxidation and the water color wouldn't change.
