In today's head to head review, we’re going to test Core Hydration Water vs Fiji Water: Which one is better?
We're gonna test our contenders for three distinct properties:

#1 Head to head test: Antioxidants
You are surrounded by free radicals that are found in the air, electronics, even in the food that we eat. Free radicals are responsible for cellular dis-balance and oxidation.
They cause the once healthy cell to become inflamed which results in the cells' inability to release the bad content and to take in the necessary nutrients.
Luckily, we know about antioxidants. And antioxidants are essentially a fountain of youth. They are filling up free radicals with electrons and by that protecting our cells from a negative impact.
Without antioxidants, free radicals are taking away the electrons from healthy cells which makes cells oxidizing, and by that - create inflammation.
All known diseases are result of oxidation and inflammation.
Our antioxidants come in various shapes and sizes. They are found in:
Fruits: Grapes, berries, pomegranate, kiwi, apricot, prune, pear, banana...
Vegetables: Broccoli, ginger, artichoke, garlic, cilantro, asparagus…
Vitamins: A, C, E
Antioxidants keep you healthy, fight sickness caused by inflammation and slow down the aging process.
To find out if our water is oxidizing our cells, or making us sicker, we’re going to use an ORP meter.
ORP stands for oxidation-reduction potential. It basically shows the ability of the water to reduce oxidation of the cells.
If our contenders are oxidizing, our test will show a positive value which means that the water is positively charged. On the other hand, if they contain antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties, we will get a negative value.
Let's start with Core Hydration Water and see what we get!
Core Hydration water ended up with a result in positive 245 area.
Now, let’s do the same test with Fiji Water.
The result of the Fiji Water is around 278 area.
So clearly, Fiji Water is more oxidizing, than Core Hydration Water.
Unfortunately for Fiji Water, this result could have been different if we only knew when it was bottled.
Fiji Water could have been bottled 20 years ago, while we know that Core Hydration Water has been bottled just recently.
But, the sad fact is that there’s no real winner here. Both of the waters are oxidizing and ultimately create sickness in your body.
But, just to be fair, we’re gonna give this round to Core Hydration Water!

Let’s start with our second test.
#2 Head to head test: Alkalinity
The disease cannot survive in an alkaline environment. So the water that we're consuming should help keep our body in an alkaline state.
If not, acidic water is going to end up eating not only the electrolytes and minerals that we need but also taking nutrients from our skin, bones, joints and ligaments.
Lack of those nutrients can cause diseases as:
Brittle bones - osteoporosis,
Harmful brain effect that can lead to Alzheimer's and other mental diseases.
To find out if our water is acidic or alkaline, we're going to use pH drops.
Red, orange, or yellow color indicates acidic water that’s doing us harm, while blue, purple, or dark purple indicates water that is either providing minerals or ensuring our body has exactly what it needs.
Let’s start with the test!
Oh, they both look really even!
But, there’s a simple trick done with blowing some air through the plastic straw which will show us the real pH of each water! The reason why is because most of these waters are chemically altered to present them as alkaline water.
So now, let’s do the real test and see which water has something to hide. Remember, if it’s true alkaline water it will maintain its color, and if not, well the difference will be obvious.
So, Core Hydration Water changed the color. Now we know that this water is chemically altered so that the producer can present it as alkaline water, which obviously is not.
Let's go ahead and check out Fiji water!
Fiji water didn't change color as much as Core Hydration Water.
So Core Hydration Water is losing in this battle and it makes sense when you look at the back of it.
It is purified water by reverse osmosis which takes everything out.
Reverse Osmosis is a process of water purification by pushing the water through a semi-permeable membrane to remove unwanted molecules and larger particles.
Unfortunately, reverse osmosis is not a selective filtration process that removes only the bad stuff. It also removes the minerals that are good for your body.
The companies add minerals to change the taste. Such water contains:
Calcium Chloride - Used to de-ice roads
Magnesium Chloride - Inorganic salt
Potassium Bicarbonate - Baking soda
So because they're adding these things in here, the water is coming out in different colors.
Fiji Water is an absolute water in this test so the result is:
Core Hydration Water 1 : 1 Fiji Water
Next up is a superior hydration test!
#3 Head to head test: Superior Hydration
We’re going to test both waters for their hydration abilities. And it’s done by a simple trick using a teabag!
Let’s go ahead and see if our contenders actually absorb into the tea bag and pull out the nutrients. We use this as an example to see how it's going to hydrate us at a cellular level.
We’ll start with Core Hydration Water:
As you can see it’s not making any tea.
How will the Fiji Water test? Well, there’s only one way to find out!
Fiji Water also is not making tea.
So neither one of these are able to hydrate us at the rate that we want to be hydrated.
You're probably thinking, well, to make tea you have to boil the water.
Well, not really. I’m gonna prove that by making a tea with the water that I am drinking.
So it is possible and neither of these waters is able to do that.
So we have a tie.
Final result: Core Hydration Water 1 : 1 Fiji Water
So, Core Hydration Water vs Fiji Water: Which one is better?
I went ahead and I tested core hydration water versus Fiji water core three specific things. The first one was the antioxidants. When we did this test, we discovered that both of them are oxidizing, which are ultimately going to lead the sickness and disease in our bodies.
The second thing we tested for was alkalinity. And we saw that they both have a similar result.
However, when we did the test to make sure that they actually keep their pH level, Core Hydration Water failed because of inorganic minerals in it.
Last but not least we tested for superior hydration and neither one of these was able to do it well.
So ultimately, the winner between two is arguably Fiji Water, but you're really losing by drinking any of these.
