Fiji water or Evian, which one is better?
We're going to put them to the test to find out which one is the best for your health.
Let's get started!
So the first thing we're testing is for antioxidants.
Free radicals are chemical compounds found in the air that we breathe, in the food that we eat, even in electronics we use daily.
They take away the electrons from our healthy cells, which causes cellular disbalance, inflammation, and oxidation.
Those last two things are linked to every single health disease known to man.
Antioxidants such as fruits, vegetables, vitamin a, vitamin c, vitamin e, have extra electrons, and they end up giving out those electrons to oxidized cells and by that stabilize them.
It brings down the oxidation, inflammation and helps reduce sickness and disease.
But how do we test that?
We're going to use an ORP meter.
ORP stands for oxidative reduction potential and we're using it to test the potential to reduce oxidation.
If we see a positive number here, that means that the water is oxidizing us; it's creating more sickness, aging, and disease in the body.
However, if we see a negative number, the water has anti-aging, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.
That being said, let's test out Fiji water to see what we get.
We are getting a 265 and it is rising once again, that's just because of the air being super oxidizing.
Now, let's take a look at Evian.
It is showing a 300.
So they're both oxidizing and it looks like the Fiji water - is just a little less oxidizing.
But they're essentially both creating more sickness and disease in our body.
So, is there antioxidant water?
Yes there is! It's called Kangen water, and it does great on the ORP test! How great? Let's see!
We are getting a negative 730 result which means that this water is antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
Let's go ahead and take a look at that second test - Alkalinity.
Cancer, sickness, and disease cannot thrive in an alkaline environment. However, they love to be in an acidic environment.
So we want to keep our bodies slightly alkaline, since alkalinity prevents acidic foods and drinks to take the minerals and nutrients from us.
To see if Fiji Water or Evian are acidic or alkaline, we're going to use pH Drops.
We will put a few pH drops in the water.
If we see a red, orange, or yellow that means the water is acidic and is eating the minerals and electrolytes in our body or in the foods that we're consuming.
If we see a blue, purple, or dark purple, that means the water is alkaline and keeping the balance.
First, we have Fiji and Evian.
They look even so it looks like they are good at handling acidity. But are they really?
We breathe out carbon dioxide, which is acidic gas. So, let's blow some air inside of each of these waters, and see if they will change color or not.
Fiji changed its color a bit. Now it's more neutral level than alkaline.
Evian didn't change much, so it looks like it is superior water in this test.
Oh, the water in the middle is Kangen water.
3. Superior Hydration
And now let's do the last experiment - the tea test!
The reason why we are doing this test is that our cells are like a chain link fence and if we take a beach ball and hurl it at that chain link fence, it's going to bounce back.
However, if we take a marble, and throw it at that fence, it's going to go right through.
That's how we want our water to be when we drink it.
When we guzzle down some water, we want it to actually go in and start hydrating us, not just sit in our stomach and do nothing.
So, let's see which one of these can hydrate us.
Fiji water is the first one and that didn't work too well. We had to bounce the tea bag up and down which shouldn't be necessary to get hydrated, right?
Evian looks like it's doing something a little bit, but we still have to jump the bag up and down to make tea.
The last water, Kangen, did amazing. This is exactly how water should work.
So we have tested these waters for three specific things.
First, one is antioxidants.
We want to make sure that we're taking in antioxidants, so we can reduce oxidation and inflammation.
The second thing we tested for was alkalinity.
Sickness cannot survive in an alkaline environment and when testing these, we found out that Evian was better than Fiji.
The third and final thing we tested for was superior hydration and the third water is superior.
