Is Fiji Water bad for you?
Since Fiji is one of the most popular waters on the market, we decided to test it and get an answer to the question - is Fiji Water bad for you?
To find out more about Fiji water, we need to test it for three distinct properties:
- Superior Hydration
Additionally, I'll give you two bonus reasons why you might wanna think over the next time you buy bottled water.
So, let's begin with the first test - Antioxidants!
Free radicals are chemical compounds found in the air that we breathe, in the food that we eat, even in electronics we use!
These bad particles take away the electrons from our healthy cells and cause cellular disbalance, inflammation, and oxidation.
Those last two things are linked to every single health disease known to man.
Antioxidants such as fruits, vegetables, vitamin a, vitamin c, vitamin e, have extra electrons, and they end up giving out those electrons to oxidized cells and by that stabilize them.
It brings down oxidation, inflammation and helps reduce sickness and disease.
But how do we test that?
ORP stands for oxidation-reduction potential. It basically shows the ability of the water to reduce the oxidation of the cells.
If the water is oxidizing, our test will show a positive value which means that the water is positively charged. On the other hand, if it contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties, we will get a negative value.
So, let's see if Fiji is good for our health, or it creates inflammation and oxidation!
Unfortunately, we are getting a high positive number, meaning Fiji Water is creating oxidation and inflammation.
But let's test one more water. And this water is not your regular off-the-shelf brand. This water is special, and it is the water that I am consuming daily.
Let's call it - mystery water!
As you can see, this mystery water scored a negative value of -807! This water is reducing oxidation, inflammation, and keeps us healthier!
Cancer and disease cannot survive in an alkaline environment. So the water that we're consuming should help keep our body in an alkaline state.
If not, acidic water is going to end up eating not only the electrolytes and minerals that we need but also taking nutrients from our skin, bones, joints, and ligaments.
That's how you end up with eczema, osteoporosis, and even mental brain diseases such as Alzheimer's!
So we definitely want our water to be alkaline. But how do we test that?
To find out if our water is acidic or alkaline, we're going to use pH drops.
Red, orange, or yellow color indicates acidic water that’s doing us harm, while blue, purple, or dark purple indicates water that is either providing minerals or ensuring our body has exactly what it needs.
Fiji stands around 7.7 level, which is not bad, while mystery water nails the test with a pH level of 9.5!
But, there’s a simple trick done with blowing some air through the plastic straw which will show us the real pH of Fiji water! The reason why is because most commercial waters are chemically altered to present them as alkaline water.
So now, let’s do the real test and see if Fiji water has something to hide!
Notice how the color slightly changed? What this means is that Fiji water is not very good at battling acidity.
Superior hydration is a term that we use to measure water’s hydration ability. How good is the water we are drinking at hydrating us?
Let’s go ahead and see if Fiji Water can actually absorb into the tea bag and pull out the nutrients.
We use this as an example to see how it's going to hydrate us at a cellular level.
Good water should absorb into your body as you’re drinking it. It should hydrate you instantly, and not sit in your stomach.
So, let's begin!
Unfortunately, Fiji water hardly made any tea, meaning that it is not very good at hydrating us.
Hey, but what about our mystery water?
See the difference?
The water that I am drinking enters a teabag without any problems and makes tea instantly! That's the water you want to drink!
Most commercially available water spends some time in the bottle, sitting in storage, in transportation, and on the shelves of your local shop.
During this time the water acts as a scavenger, and slowly eats the plastic.
This process forms a chemical compound called xenoestrogen, a known carcinogen.
Xenoestrogen is found in 75% of all women and men who have breast cancer!
It’s probably not a bonus ingredient you’d want in your water.
In addition to having negative effects on our health and not being able to hydrate us, which is its basic task, this water costs money.
We're paying for water that's making us sicker, we are paying for water that doesn't even hydrate us!
You deserve a better deal for your money.
