In today’s review, we’re going to find out is Voss water good for you?
The best way to answer that question is by comparing it to some other water.
And we’re going to compare it with the “magic” water that I’m drinking. You will find more about my “magic” water later, but for now, I can say that it came straight from a tap.
Our experiment will test water for 3 different properties:
- Oxidation
- Alkalinity/Acidity
- Superior Hydration
Let’s get started with the first test - oxidation.
Oxidation
The more antioxidants we have, the more youthful and healthy we stay.
We are surrounded by free radicals. They are found in our food, air, electronics. Unfortunately, free radicals are very reactive and cause oxidation and inflammation of our cells.
This creates aging and sickness.
On the other hand, antioxidants help us protect our cells and neutralize the bad effects of free radicals. They are essentially the fountain of youth.
ORP Test
To find out if Voss water is oxidizing our body and making us sicker, we’re going to use an ORP meter.
ORP stands for oxidation-reduction potential. It basically shows the ability of the water to reduce oxidation of the cells.
If our contenders are oxidizing, our test will show a positive value which means that the water is positively charged. On the other hand, if they contain antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties, we will get a negative value.
As you can see, Voss water is very oxidizing.
Let’s go and see now how my “magical” mystery water will do! Better than Voss or?
We are getting a big negative number which means that this water is full of antioxidants and helps you fight off sickness.
So, is Voss water good for you? I wouldn’t say so. It is creating aging, sickness, and inflammation in our bodies.
But we’re not gonna stop there!
The next property we’re testing is - alkalinity!
Alkalinity/Acidity
The water that we're consuming should help keep our body in an alkaline state.
Why?
Because cancer and disease can not survive in the alkaline environment.
Your body is always going to maintain a certain point of alkalinity. If we are consuming alkaline products, it is easier for our bodies to reach that alkaline level.
However, if we are consuming fried food, soda, and different things like that, our body has a hard time reaching its natural pH level.
But it manages to.
How?
By taking away the minerals and nutrients from itself. And this leads to a number of diseases.
pH Test
We are using pH drops as an indicator of acidity and alkalinity.
We're going to put a few pH drops in the water to see will it turn red, orange, or yellow, which detects acidic water, or blue, purple, or dark purple, which means it's alkaline.
Let’s see how Voss water does!
The Voss water is not that great for us, actually, it’s acidic. On the other hand, the magical mystery water is alkaline and good for our health.
Just another reason why you shouldn’t be drinking it.
Let’s move on to the last test for today - Superior hydration.
Superior Hydration
Can Voss water actually hydrate you?
Because, if not, why would you pay top dollar for water that doesn’t even hydrate you?
You know that feeling when you drink a lot of water at once and it makes you feel bloated and heavy?
That happens because the water particles can get so big that they are unable to penetrate your cells and hydrate you.
Therefore, that water can’t provide you with the nutrients, enter your bloodstream or push out the toxins from your cells.
Teabag Test
We’re going to use a teabag and pretend that teabag is our body, or better say, our cells.
Can Voss water enter the teabag and make tea? Let’s see!
You might say, “Hey, but you have to boil water to make tea, right?”
But what if you didn't have to boil your water all this time? Let me show you.
Voss water can barely hydrate you. Compared to my magic water, I would say it hydrates maybe 15% of what good and healthy water should do.
Because of that, you have to drink more of Voss water to get hydrated. But your stomach has limits, so this water should not be your choice when it comes to hydration.
Conclusion
Is Voss water good for you?
I would say no.
We tested it for oxidation - it came out as an oxidant. The second test wasn’t much better because we proved that it is acidic, and ultimately, it doesn’t hydrate you as it should.
It is better than straight tap water, but you deserve the best, and Voss is definitely not the best.
