Propel vs Smart Water

In today’s review, we have a battle of the water brands: Propel vs Smart Water

We are going to find out which one is better for you by testing these waters for 3 specific properties:

  • Oxidation
  • Alkalinity/Acidity
  • Superior Hydration

Without further ado, let’s begin with our first test for oxidation.

#1 Challenge: Oxidation

We are surrounded by free radicals, chemical compounds that are found in the air, electronics, even in the food that we eat.

Free radicals are responsible for cellular dis-balance and oxidation causing one healthy cell to become inflamed by taking away the electrons from healthy cells which makes cells oxidizing, and by that - inflamed.

Luckily, we know about antioxidants. And antioxidants are essentially a fountain of youth. They are filling up free radicals with electrons and by that protecting our cells from a negative impact.

All known diseases are the result of oxidation and inflammation.

Oxidants are positively charged, while antioxidants are negatively charged.

Why is this important?

Well, to see if our contenders are positively or negatively charged, we are using an ORP meter.

ORP Meter

ORP stands for oxidation-reduction potential. It basically shows the ability of the water to reduce oxidation of the cells.

If our contenders are oxidizing, our test will show a positive value which means that the water is positively charged. On the other hand, if they contain antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties, we will get a negative value.

Let’s test Propel water first!

That’s a big positive number, and it is definitely something we don’t want to see. For now, things don’t look good for Propel.

Now let’s move on to Smart Water. Will it do better?

This is even worse result than Propel water. We got a huge positive number meaning that both of these brands are creating oxidation and inflammation.

If you are wondering if there is water that has anti-inflammatory, antiaging, and anti-oxidative properties, check this out!

The ORP meter is showing a huge negative number, and this is the water that we should be consuming.

But, to be fair, Propel water did slightly better than Smart Water, so we’re giving this round to Propel!

#2 Challenge - Alkalinity/Acidity

We want our blood to stay slightly alkaline, at the level of 7.365, and by consuming alkaline water our body has no issue of reaching that level.

Cancer and other diseases cannot survive in an alkaline environment. They need acidity to succeed. That’s why tobacco, alcohol, junk food, and acidic water are bad for your health. All these things are acidic.

But even when we consume acidic products, our body will do everything it can to reach that natural balance and alkalinity.

How?

By taking the minerals and nutrients from our body, skin, ligaments, and joints.

That’s how we end up with diseases such as:

  • Eczema,
  • Brittle bones - osteoporosis,
  • Alzheimer's and other mental diseases.

To find out if our water is acidic or alkaline, we're going to use pH drops.

pH Test

Red, orange, or yellow color indicates acidic water that’s doing us harm, while blue, purple, or dark purple indicates water that is either providing minerals or ensuring our body has exactly what it needs.

Let’s see what we get!

Smart Water is slightly better than Propel, but they are both very acidic and bad for our health.

And how did our secret magical water did? You can check it in the full video review I made!

So, Smart Water did better in this round so the score is:

Propel water 1

Smart Water 1

#3 Challenge: Superior Hydration

We want to be hydrated. We don’t want to feel dryness in our mouth or bloated after we drink our water.

Let’s try to make some tea using Propel and Smart Water and see which one can pass through the teabag which represents our cell walls, and can pull out the nutrients we need.

Propel water did nothing. It is full of sugar and artificial minerals, and it is simply not able to penetrate the bag and make tea.

How about Smart Water?

Smart Water did make some tea, but it is far away from what your body needs. It barely does it.

And our mystery magical water? Can it make tea?

That’s what we want to see!

But, back to our contenders. Smart Water wins a hydration test.

FINAL SCORE

Propel 1

Smart Water 2

Winner: Smart Water

Propel vs Smart Water Conclusion

The first property we tested for was Oxidation, and Propel water did slightly better than Smart Water. However, both of these waters are oxidizing, and I wouldn't recommend drinking them.

The second test was Alkalinity, and Smart Water had better results. Unfortunately, both waters are acidic and bad for your health.

The last test was for Superior Hydration, and Smart Water won the challenge, although it has poor hydration ability.

To help you in your journey towards true wellness, I made a report about the five properties every healthy water has. I personally use these tools in my life right now!
