What’s in Dasani Water?

In today’s review, we are talking about Dasani water content!

Let’s start with checking out the label:

So, we got some:

  • Purified Water
  • Magnesium Sulfate
  • Potassium Chloride
  • Salt

Purified water

What does that mean? Although it sounds like a perfect selling point, it actually hides a scary secret.

The purification process called reverse osmosis removes all the bad contents that water might have. And we are ok with that. You don’t want your water to be filled with viruses and other pathogens that can hurt your health.

But this process is not selective, meaning that it will also remove the good stuff the water comes with. First and foremost, the minerals that are vital to our body. And we really need those minerals.

So, to reach the waters natural balance, artificial minerals are added. One of those is:

Magnesium Sulfate

Magnesium Sulfate is an inorganic artificial mineral. Our body has a hard time breaking it down and using it.

You have probably heard of this mineral but under a different name - Epsom salt. And of course, producers won’t call it by that name, since it is easier to confuse a customer by using a scientific name.

Potassium Chloride

Potassium Chloride is a chemical compound used in soil fertilization. It is another salt added to this water.

We are pretty sure that you shouldn’t drink something that’s used as a fertilizer.

Salt

Just in case you’re not feeling salty enough, Dasani made sure to add some more salt to this water!

But there’s one more thing that is far more dangerous and concerning for our health, and you won’t see the name on the bottle.

Xenoestrogen

The water acts as a scavenger. It eats away the materials, and it does it to plastic as well.

This process takes time, but it is happening, especially if the water is contained in the plastic bottles for long periods of time and higher temperatures.

75% of men and women who suffered from breast cancer had a high level of xenoestrogen in their bodies.
